Appendix 1: Menu Options and Advanced Features

 

 

At the bottom of the Alacri Menu is a link to 'Options and Advanced Features'.

 

 

There are four options available to you on this menu.

 

Message Center                        Here you can communicate with the Alacri Administrator

    and with other Alacri users.

 

Change My Alacri Password   Change the password for your Alacri User ID here.

 

Save My FTP Password            Store your FTP Password so that you don’t have to keep

     entering it, or remove a stored password.

 

Reset Alacri                               Clear the changes you were about to make to your site.

 

 

 

Depending on your configuration, some of these features may not be available.

 

 

 

Message Center

 

 

 

Here you can communicate with the Alacri Administrator and with other Alacri users.

 

                       

 

 

Click on “Compose New Message” to create and send a new message.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Change My Alacri Password       

 

 

You can use this option to change the password for your Alacri User ID. This is the password you enter on the Log In screen to access your Alacri account.

 

To change your Password, enter your previous password and your new password, and then click on ‘Change My Password.

 

You will need to enter the new password twice to ensure that you have correctly typed the password.

 

 

 

 

Save My FTP Password     

 

 

Note that this option may not be available, depending on the requirements for your Web site’s configuration.

 

You can use this option to store (cache) your FTP Password on the Alacri server so that you don’t have to keep entering it. If you have previously stored your password, you can remove the stored password here.

 

This is the password that allows you to make changes on your Web site. Your Web site’s configuration may require that this password always be stored. In this case this option will not be available, and you will not be required to enter your FTP password when installing changes to your Web site.

 

To change your FTP password you must enter it on the screen and click on the “Save Password” button.

 

 

 

 

 

Reset Alacri                          

 

Here you can clear the changes you were about to make to your site.

 

This allows you to start over. If you are sure you wish to clear all pending changes, click on the “Clear All Changes” button.

 

NOTE: This will not affect your current Web site content.
